Three Must-See Washington Rides
Start Planning Your Spring Riding Calendar with These Scenic Trips
Spring is coming... it's just a few short weeks away. We can  feel it, and we're ready. Because spring only means one thing to those with  motorcycles: it's riding season.

We at Eagle Leather know when to count our blessings--and we  certainly count our location amongst them. Sure, living in the Pacific  Northwest has its rainy drawbacks, but Washington is just gorgeous. the  landscape and scenery we have direct access to is worth every penny spent on  rain gear.

We've compiled this list of three rides every Washington  rider should take this spring--plus some recommended gear for each location.

Ride #1: The Whidbey Island Loop

Take a ferry ride across the Puget  Sound, then disembark on Whidbey and Camano Islands. Beaches, parks, museums  and whale-watching are popular activities on this motorcycle tour through the  Pacific Northwest. This ride starts in Everett, WA and heads west where you'll  take a ferry across to Possession Sound. It takes you through some historical  island communities, as it winds around the island and through Ebey's Landing  National Historical Reserve and Deception Pass State Park. The road is a fairly  straight with a few curves and corners the way. The ride takes approximately 4  ½ hours to complete. We recommend picking up some XL-1 Advanced Matte Black sunglasses for the ride to protect your eyes from the  sunlight and allow you take in all the views. They are made in the USA, have  changeable lenses to provide all day protection, and exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003+  Safety. Their unique No Tears system  provides total sun/sand/wind protection.
Ride #2: Anacortes to Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is an  affordable getaway, with 400- to 600-year-old trees, glorious beaches, prime  picnic areas, tide pools, rocky headlands and sweeping views to the farthest  horizon. The tidal rip through Deception Pass is unique in Washington, and it’s  fun to watch boats jockey the passage. The end-of-the-world view from Rosario  Head is not to be missed. The sense of space, sea and sky are matchless. Just  for fun, pack a picnic for West Beach and see how many Olympic peaks you can  name. With all the breathtaking views, we recommend bringing a GoPro camera with you so you can capture the scenery to share with your family  and friends and relive the ride years later. The GoPro has a wearable,  mountable design and has a wide angle to capture every angle of your ride. The  quality is professional, with HD video and 12 MP photos. The rugged housing is  waterproof to 197ft/60M and captures sharp images above and below water. New advanced  camera settings like Looping Video, Continuous Photo, Manual White Balance  control, and Protune Mode make this camera a must have. Pick yours up at Eagle Leather today.
Ride #3: Olympic National Park Loop

Make a loop around Olympic National  Park and ride through the rain forests of the Olympic Peninsula. This scenic  ride takes you through the spectacular Olympia National Forest and through the  lush green Pacific Northwest rain forest. You'll ride along the Pacific Ocean  coastline then parallel the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca before  returning along the Puget Sound. Rain gear highly suggested, but a little rain  is worth the beauty of the ride. If you need to pick up a rain suit, consider  grabbing our Neon Passport Suit with durable, 600 denier poly construction, H2O BLOK™  Waterproof and breathable fixed liner, back protector compartment with foam  pad, and a removable, full-sleeve EverHeat® thermal liner. The suit also has a  zippered chest, sleeve & rear exhaust vents for flow-through ventilation,  and a dual waist strap adjustment for a custom fit.
